Lost in a shipwreck in 1850 at age 40, Margaret Fuller was a world celebrity - her era's Gloria Steinem. She is perhaps our earliest foremother, and influenced thousands, including Susan B. Anthony, Emerson, and Thoreau, with her groundbreaking book, Woman in the Nineteenth Century. |
