National African American Read-in |

The community is invited to a Read-in event dedicated to African American literature. Pieces of literature from Christopher Paul Curtis, Walter Dean Myers, Robert Burleigh, Langston Hughes and others will be read by fourth, fifth and sixth-grade students from the Maria Montessori School. A time for silent reading with books written by African American authors will follow. Students will be available to read to younger children. Refreshments will be available.
