| The public is invited to a regional contest in Rockford for the Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest. On February 23 twenty students from Auburn, Freeport, Guilford, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Spectrum High Schools will participate in the Northern Illinois Poetry Out Loud regional contest at District 205 s West Middle School. The first and second place winners of this competition advance to Illinois State Poetry Out Loud Competition, held March 29 in Springfield. The State champion advances to the Poetry Out Loud National Finals held May 13-15 in Washington, DC, |
