Rockford Property Management Appoints Two New Directors

Rockford Property Management has announced the addition of two directors to its team. Bob Van Rees has been named the organization’s first director of facilities management and Elizabeth Sinclair has been elevated to director of property management.

Both appointments coincide with the property management company’s emphasis on a three-pronged service approach that includes facilities management, asset management and property management. This new structure allows for more focus in these key areas and the ability to better scale as the company pursues growth opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Bob to the team and to promote Elizabeth to this new role,” said Monica Steimle-App, executive vice president of property management at Rockford Construction. “In these positions, Bob and Elizabeth can help us continue to refine our processes and structure to best serve our clients. Our redefined structure will further enable us to maximize the services we provide our valued clients as we continue to grow our portfolio and seek additional third-party management opportunities.”

By developing three core business efforts, Rockford Property Management will heighten the focus and level of service provided in each area. Asset management will focus on property life cycle, including counsel on repositioning, refinancing and strategic planning. Facilities management will include vendor management, maintenance programs, special projects, building assessments and capital improvement plans. Property management will center on delivering value to investments, high-quality customer service and property efficiencies.

Bob Van Rees

Van Rees joins the Rockford team with more than 30 years of experience in the construction and facilities management industry. He spent the majority of his decades-long career at University of Michigan Health – West in maintenance and facilities roles. Most recently, Bob served as vice president of customer success at Facility Health Inc., and director of plant operation and facilities at Munson Medical Center. As director of facilities management, Van Rees will identify and collaborate with Rockford on new client opportunities and work alongside clients on long-term planning efforts and capital plans.

"Our team is excited to leverage Bob’s extensive experience in the industry to bring heightened value to everyone we serve. We are extremely confident in not only his diverse skill set, but also his tremendous leadership capabilities."

Elizabeth Sinclair

Sinclair joined the organization in July 2020 as a property manager before moving into the role of senior property manager in 2021. She previously worked at KMG Prestige, Inc. as a community manager and at Studio C! as a development consultant. In her new role as director of property management, Elizabeth will oversee all property managers and leasing agents, serve as the primary team member for more than 3 million square feet of managed properties, and work with the firm’s leadership team on strategy and business growth.
