Originally constructed in 1971, Rockford is currently renovating the existing Lydia M. Olson Library within Harden Hall. The two-story renovation will consist of selective demolition of the main entry and second and third floors, a new curtainwall main entry, upgrades to the basement mechanical, a fourth floor addition and a new grand entry staircase. Several existing operations and departments will be relocated throughout the building while it remains fully operational.

Our team will construct a temporary roof during the construction of the fourth floor addition. The existing elevator pit will be reused and the existing shaft will be extended up two floors. Both the first floor and the academic mall/main campus area will remain in use during the course of construction, causing site access to be limited throughout the duration of the project.
