At Northview Public Schools, education has always been about more than academics; it’s about creating a community where every student is inspired to achieve their personal best. For years, Rockford has been privileged to work alongside the district, transforming bold ideas into meaningful change.
Our relationship with Northview is a true partnership, built on trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to students. Together, we have navigated challenges, celebrated milestones and invested in the spaces where students learn, grow and connect.
A History of Impact
Our journey with Northview began in 2019. We partnered with the district to facilitate community conversations, listen closely to parents and staff and complete a thorough assessment of all eight school buildings. This work resulted in a bold vision for facilities totaling $36.6 million. Then the COVID pandemic hit. Rockford and Northview navigated the complexities of voting and absentee ballots, rallied the community and successfully passed the bond.
The improvements touched every corner of the district. Classrooms were refreshed with modern furniture and technology. Secure entrances were added to strengthen safety. Students and staff gained healthier learning environments through HVAC and air conditioning upgrades. And the Max Colley Jr. Performing Arts Center was fully renovated, providing Northview’s arts community with a stage that reflects its talent and ambition.
Thanks to community support for Northview’s sinking fund, we also completed a significant improvement at the high school: the installation of air conditioning in the Science and Social Studies wing. This upgrade ensures that students and staff can enjoy a comfortable and productive environment, even on the hottest days, demonstrating how immediate facility investments can enhance the daily learning experience.

Looking Ahead: The 2025 Bond
Building on that momentum, Northview once again invited Rockford to evaluate future needs and opportunities. Together, we developed a plan grounded in transparency, community input and long-term vision. In May 2025, voters approved a $74.6 million bond proposal — a strong affirmation of the district’s priorities: supporting students, connecting the community and preparing for the future.
Projects now underway include:
- Elementary Schools: Construction of separate gymnasiums and modernized cafeterias to better accommodate physical education, large group assemblies and learning and dining needs. Classroom additions, including two new Field School classrooms to replace end-of-life mobile classrooms.
- Middle Schools: New music rooms, flexible classrooms and improvements to infrastructure and parking.
- High School: Renovated choir and band classrooms, an expanded Performing Arts Center lobby, a transformed media center and upgraded athletic facilities with new locker rooms, team spaces and storage.
- District-Wide: Enhanced infrastructure, ADA accessibility upgrades, HVAC and mechanical improvements, new buses and improved athletic fields.

More Than Construction
Each of these projects represents more than bricks and mortar; they represent possibility for Northview. They create classrooms that spark creativity, stages where talent can shine and fields where athletes and community members gather with Wildcat pride.
For Rockford, it’s been an honor to serve as a trusted partner to Northview Public Schools across sinking fund projects, bond programs and future planning. For Northview, these investments are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared vision: a brighter future for every student.
