Rockford served as Construction Manager for two distinct projects for Birmingham Public Schools — each tailored to meet the specific needs of its campus. At Quarton Elementary, the team executed a fast-tracked summer renovation focused on improving HVAC systems, including VUV and boiler replacements, along with significant bathroom upgrades. The 25,503 sq. ft. facility was renovated over just a few months, with construction beginning in June and concluding by August 2025, allowing the building to reopen on schedule for the new school year.
At Bingham Farms Elementary, Rockford managed a more extensive, yearlong renovation and expansion. The 60,000 sq. ft. project included a 10,000 sq. ft. addition housing six new classrooms, upgrades to interior finishes throughout the building and the installation of new kitchen equipment and plumbing fixtures. Construction began in February and was completed in December 2025. Both projects were delivered under a CM at Risk contract and reflect Rockford’s ability to manage schedule-sensitive, detail-oriented work in active K-12 environments.
