Located along the Grand River, the Consumers Energy John G. Russell Leadership Center is a collaboration between Consumers Energy and Grand Valley State University. The 65,000 sq. ft. facility housing various classrooms, conference rooms and collaborative meeting spaces used for professional development and leadership training for Consumers employees. Rockford successfully navigated the tight site on Grand Valley State University’s campus, making significant ground improvements and using CMC foundations to support the building. The facility features a glass facade, utilizes reclaimed wood throughout the interior and operates using complex building controls—it is also LEED Silver.
