Rockford was brought in by Lane Automotive – a premier supplier of performance parts and accessories for racers, hot rodders, truck and off-road enthusiasts – to construct a new 265,000 sq. ft. distribution center for the supplier to ship and receive performance car components. During foundation installations, the owner added 100’ onto the building (roughly 45,000 sq. ft.). The owner also chose to modify half of the buildings base design fire suppression system and procure many of the building components (PEMB, dock equipment, fire alarm, material handling system) during construction. Rockford completed the additional scope while still maintaining the material handling supplier installation timelines set forth at the outset of the project.
