Rockford entered a joint venture with Clark Construction to complete Michigan State University’s Grand Rapids Research Center (GRRC). The 162,800 sq. ft., seven-story facility is a significant addition to Michigan State’s College of Human Medicine. The building, which features more than 100,000 sq. ft. of biomedical research space, is designed to maximize research productivity and promote collaboration among researchers both within the facility and in the Grand Rapids medical community. By creating spaces to meet and share ideas such as core labs and informal gathering spaces, the GRRC holds the potential to be a birthplace of many scientific discoveries.
