This renovation transformed a once-vacant and deteriorating 100-meter, six-lane pool into a modern athletics and training hub. The project included infilling the unused pool, demolishing aging concrete bleachers and replacing outdated HVAC and electrical systems with efficient new heating and cooling infrastructure. Extensive building envelope upgrades, such as foundation underdrain and waterproofing improvements, new curtain wall systems and full roofing replacement, enhance the facility’s durability and performance. The refreshed space features bold red-and-black branding, Knight logos, dynamic wall graphics and upgraded audio-visual systems. Completed during the academic year adjacent to the active high school, the project required precise coordination to maintain student safety and minimize disruption. The facility now houses team meeting rooms, faculty and coaches’ offices and a state-of-the-art Training Center with an indoor turf area, overhead doors that open to a fully equipped workout room, cardio stations, storage areas and an elevated track that encircles the building.
