Rockford has invested in a specialized preconstruction team to ensure projects get the front-end attention that ensures their long-term success. Comprised of full-time experts in estimating, value engineering, scheduling and bid packaging, our team works through the design and preconstruction phases to ensure budget and constructability stays on track while identifying potential areas for value engineering and time savings. From the start of our projects, we meet with the team and stakeholders to review all programming and design efforts completed to date to establish a common understanding of project scope, schedule and budget. Our team’s expertise helps define, drive and oversee the design development, ensuring no items are missed in the scope and therefore reducing the need for schedule or cost alterations later in the project.

Due to the volume of work that Rockford performs, our preconstruction team has access to real-time market condition information, and incorporates current material prices, labor conditions and trade availability into the budget. To create a seamless project experiences, Rockford also involves the project manager and superintendent in preconstruction. We also involve the preconstruction team all the way through the post-bid process to ensure accuracy in the construction phase.
